A lot of parents strongly disagree with getting their children airsoft guns. However, many parents do not understand that airsoft guns are actually extremely safe for children to play with.

Airsoft usage is probably one of the safest means that children can use guns today. However, there are still many people that wish that airsoft guns were simply banned. Before you come to an assumption about the guns, it helps to have a little background knowledge about the guns.

Airsoft guns are toy guns that resemble to real thing. They shoot off a series of pellets that fly about 25m to 45 m in distance. Airsoft guns are replicas of real guns, and they make use of plastic pellets as ammunition. They are designed so as to give realistic action, and most of them actually imitate the recoil action, or blowback, that one experiences when handling a real gun. Military Simulation or MilSim as it is commonly known is a great way to enjoy the fresh air and get some exercise.

MilSim weekend warriors are not enlisted in the military, however many of them tend to be retired or ex military. Being enlisted is not a requirement in this army.
